Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 July 2026
This page is a draft for review — it is not legal advice and may not yet reflect final business decisions.
1. Agreement and operator
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TickIt Easy service (the "Service"), operated by [FILL: registered legal entity name and address] ("we", "us", or "our"). The Service provides digital queue ticketing, counter calling, display boards, and the Partner API for restaurants, retail, and clinic businesses.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business.
2. Service description
The Service lets businesses issue tickets to guests on their phones (no app installation required), call the next guest from a counter, show call status on a display screen, and rejoin or mark guests as missed. Businesses configure branches, sessions, and ticket categories, and can integrate with existing systems through the Partner API.
"Guests" are the customers who receive tickets through your branch. "You" or "your business" are the merchants using the Service.
3. Accounts and eligibility
To use the Service you must create a merchant account with a valid email address. Accounts are verified with a one-time password sent to your email; you may optionally sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Organisations can have members with different roles (owner, admin, member). Owners and admins can invite members and manage settings. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to use the Service for your business.
4. Plans and billing
The Service offers Free, Starter, Pro, and Enterprise plans as described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe, including any per-branch add-ons. Unless you cancel, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the current paid period. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded except as required by law or as set out in [FILL: registered legal entity name and address]. Prices may change; we will notify you before changes take effect for your next billing period.
5. Paid tickets and platform fee
Enterprise merchants may charge guests for tickets or deposits. Payments are processed by Stripe; by enabling paid tickets you agree to Stripe's terms and remain responsible for any Stripe fees. We charge a platform fee on paid ticket transactions at the rate agreed with you at signup (2% by default).
Refunds to guests are issued according to your refund policy and applicable law. We may process refunds on your behalf through Stripe where you request it.
6. Merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for configuring branches, sessions, categories, and display content, and for how you use guest data. You must: use the Service lawfully; obtain any consents required from guests under applicable law; ensure that content shown on displays or ticket pages (including promo strips) does not infringe rights or violate law; and comply with all laws that apply to your business.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for your guests' experience of the queue.
7. Partner API
The Partner API lets you integrate the Service with your own systems (for example POS, kiosks, or internal tools). API keys are credentials: keep them secret, store them server-side only, and never embed them in client applications. Keys are subject to rate limits and to the permissions you configure.
You are responsible for how the API is used under your account and for any misuse by third parties to whom you give access.
8. Acceptable use
You must not: misuse the Service to disrupt other users or the queue system; attempt to access data you are not authorised to see; use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages; or use the Service in a way that violates the law.
We may suspend or terminate the access of accounts that abuse the Service, at our sole discretion and without prejudice to our other rights.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by [FILL: registered legal entity name and address] and its licensors. You retain ownership of your content, including the branch information and display content you configure.
You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.
10. Termination and suspension
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or if required by law. Organisations with unpaid or expired subscriptions may have their branches and sessions restricted.
Upon termination your access ends. What happens to your data on termination is described in our Privacy Policy; [FILL: registered legal entity name and address].
11. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is not designed for situations where failure could cause physical harm or serious financial loss.
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service is limited to [FILL: registered legal entity name and address]. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.
12. Changes to these Terms
We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least [FILL: registered legal entity name and address] before they take effect, where practicable. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect shall represent your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws in force in Hong Kong. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
